ESTIMATOR/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | Full-time
JOB PROFILE/DESCRIPTION:
- Estimator – detailed takeoff of projects, put together estimates, present to clients
- Takeoff and details of projects on a macro and detailed level
- Present macro and detailed budgets/estimates to clients
- Ensure a great client experience from initial meeting to contract signing
- Understand labor and supply pricing for custom homes
- Be the first point of contact for leads, clients, vendors prior to signing
- Represent the company to clients, vendors, employees, and the public
- Track product and subcontractor supply and fluctuation trends
- Assist in pre-construction management, office work as appropriate
- Assist with Sales / New client meetings, lead generation
- Handle temporary delegated authority from Project Managers as appropriate
Technical Requirements
- General construction knowledge and aptitude with a willingness to learn
- Proficient in plan reading and takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge in estimating software
- Contract language and presenting of that information
- Great people skills, multitasking and attention to detail. Professional and formal presentation when needed
- Ability to technically review contract documents and other legal documents in detail
- Ability to maintain workflow, prioritize lists, communicate with others via email, phone
- Microsoft Office software and ability to learn other software
- UDA Technology to track budgets, contracts, and schedules preferred
STATS
- Create detailed scopes of work for each individual project and ability to convey scope accurate to Project Management team
- Request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and enter in to estimates
- Create and maintain job specific documents in job binders and digitally
- Understand in-house labor cost, overhead, profit, etc. and adjust for future estimates
Compensation
- Wage: $60,000-$80,000 DOE
- 90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase
- Paid biweekly
- 40 hour work week
- Mileage on personal vehicle paid at 50 cents per mile on each paycheck
- Benefits eligible after 90 day probation
- 40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually)
- 24 hours sick pay per year
- 5 paid holidays determined by Ferreira Inc
- Medical, Vision, and Dental, with partial compensation by Ferreira, Inc.
